Meet Your Practitioner.

My common name is, Angie Schuyler.

WillowHawk, is my Shaman name and the name that I sign to my art. My art and my healing practice are inseparable.

I began my energy work journey, with a study of Reiki, in 1998. I received certification, in 2000, and recertified, in 2004.

When I received my first certification, I chose it, specifically, for self-healing. I had no intention of teaching or certifying others. In 2004, that changed, when people were coming to me, wanting to learn and be certified. I went through the certification process again, so that I would be fresh on how to teach. Since then, I have combined the healing energy work, with everything I do, whether it has been my cleaning business, my art, my pet and house sitting services, or gardening. It has become a healing and sustaining lifestyle.

Since energy is everything, there is literally no shortage of ways that energy work can be utilized. I've worked with animals, places, plants and people.

As stated earlier, my energy work journey, began with Reiki. In the more than 2 decades since, I have immersed myself in Shamanic practice, and a variety of holistic studies, including meditation, essential oils, homeopathy, crystal therapy, aromatherapy, intuition, breathwork, herbs, nutrition, foraging, movement, mindfulness, acupressure and art therapy.

I have no certifications in anything other than Reiki. All I share is what has worked for me, in my own healing process. I didn't go to certified practitioners, for any of those fields of study. I am entirely self-taught. I encourage everyone that I treat to think for themselves, do their own research and never take my word as the last word on anything. I'm a teacher and a guide passing on firsthand knowledge based on my own personal healing journey. 30 years ago I was deeply immersed in a lifestyle of drugs and alcohol. I had a lot of healing to do. Reiki and Shamanic practices have helped me more than any other healing modalities.

In the process of educating and healing myself, I eventually came to realize that, whether you're studying Reiki, meditation, herbalism, nutritional medicine, or any other kind of natural healing, it all comes out of our indigenous roots, which go all the way back to Shamanism. We aren't discovering new things. What we're doing is remembering them, and reintegrating them.

Practicing Shamanism, with Reiki, is a deeply transformative, combined practice, that comforts, relaxes and soothes us through the hard work of digging deep inside us, and dredging up all the hard stuff, and the trauma, so that it can be healed. When our bodies and minds are in a state of calmness, our stress is washed away, and our immune system is strengthened. It softens us and opens us up, so that we can identify and shed damaging beliefs, grief, shame, emotional traumas, and baggage. It gives us tools for healing that lead us to become our fully authentic selves, and have the strength and courage to express that in the world.

If you come to me, wanting me to heal you, I will tell you that I cannot do that. I am simply a guide, and a catalyst, for your own self-healing. I can relieve your stress and give you tools and information. From there, the healing is on you.

I will also never tell you to stop seeing your regular doctors, or taking your regular treatments and medications. I encourage you to think and choose entirely, for yourself, in that regard. You don't have to give up one to have the other. Shamanic Reiki is a complimentary practice that works wonderfully, in conjunction with all other healing modalities.
